Image of the variety of dog known as the Saluki regularly appeared on vases and other ceramics as well as wall paintings by the year 3,500 BCE. Due to the fertility of the soil, people were encouraged for further cultivation of barley.Some of the first beer in the world was brewed in the great cities of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers.
